Omarosa, Omarosa, Omarosa

‘The Apprentice’.

Brotha Kwame lost.

Brotha Kwame lost because this no good, two timing, teeth grinning heffa stabbed him in the back.  The Freakin’ Witch.

Think I’m bad??  Michael Wilbon, of ESPN, called her a ‘vicious backstabbing self promoting ego maniacal germ who in a previous life probably was stationed at the River Gambia pointing out brothas for the slave traders.’

Wow, that felt good.

In the last commentary I praised Omarosa (formerly known as an Angry Black Woman) for keeping her cool under the pressures we encounter as black women … while on national tv.  Never did they see her sweat.  Compared her to National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice.

Condie, I’m sorry.  Hail Mary’s on bended knee while climbing the Wailing Wall would not atone for my error.

Angry Black Women, I’m sorry.  Stretched out naked in Times Square.  110° weather.  Fat glaboules and cellulite oozing.  Dyed roots showing.  None of that would erase the aspersions I cast upon your name.

Mama and Daddy, I’m sorry.  Obviously the therapy sessions did not work.

I’m sorry.  I’m sorry.  I’m sorry.

But still angry.

Angry Black Woman.

Angry Black Pissed Woman.  That’s me.

There is an unwritten but well known rule in the black community (and probably other communities of color) – ‘we don’t sell out our people’.  And the second is like unto it – ‘never ever sell out to the man’.  With the crap we put up and take – $10.00.  Getting pushed – $15.00.  Getting shoved – $25.00.  Having somebody with  your back – Priceless.  Expecting that somebody to be a black person – A Given.  That’s it.  No questions asked.

Now don’t start hollering about ‘Yeah, but I remember the time …’ because we’ve all had a situation where somebody black left us hanging like strange fruit.  I can personally count at least 2 psychopaths, 1 sociopath, and an aunt.

But crunch those memories and think of a time when someone did stand up for you.  Did catch your fall.  Did put his or herself on the line for you.

Or you put yourself on the line for them and they were appreciative.

As I said – Priceless, and A Given.

So I guess that makes Omarosa … what, worthless and unexpected??

Hmph, if she were the gum underneath my shoe I’d scrape it into the sewer.  Guess that qualifies as worthless.

Unexpected??  Although she continually put it into our faces, yes, it was still unexpected.  We all forgot what Maya Angelou says, ‘If someone tells you who they are, believe them.’

Omarosa nee Angry Black Woman aka Oma Scissorhands sliced and diced her way through competitors like she worked at Benihana.  Or had a best friend name Bobbett, Lorena if you please.  Yet we still didn’t think she’d do it to Kwame.  99% of the black people who watched The Apprentice kept thinking (because of the ‘rule’ that , ‘there is no way Omarosa is doing this to a brotha.’  I said it.  Friends said it.

We knew there was a punch line somewhere, like maybe she was a mole.  Yeah, Trump brought her in from the very beginning to make trouble.  Fluster people.  Knock them off their game.  If they couldn’t handle fluster, they couldn’t handle his companies.  That was it.  That explained her evilness.

And we believed, until she was fired.  Wouldn’t a mole be kept in the game until there were three?

Maybe we were wrong, and she really was evil and stupid (going on and on about a tiny piece of plaster, then getting caught playing basketball) and rude (Trump called her that).

No we were right.  Because Trump brought her back.  After she was fired.  At the end.  Now Kwame and Bill would get havoc from her and …

That was the problem, no one created havoc on Bill’s team.  Not to the extent of Omarosa’s evilness.

She was not a mole.  And we allowed ourselves to get sucked in.

Unexpected??  Yes.

Angry.  Daggum skippy.

I am angry that a woman who looked black and we thought was black had us giving her the benefit of the doubt because she looked black and we thought she was black.

I am also angry that a woman who looked black and we thought was black, was the single factor in keeping Kwame from winning the job with Donald Trump.

Trump said it himself.  Not only did Omarosa lie once, or twice.  She lied, and lied, and connived and deceived, and lied, and lied, and connived and deceived, and lied, and lied, and connived and deceived more and more and more.  Half turd did her job.  Didn’t care she wasn’t doing her job.  Didn’t care that she was hurting Kwame, the brother whose shoulder she cried on when she thought (rightly so) she was about to be fired.  The brother who she gave the Tidy White Smile when he chose her for his team.  See that was Kwame’s mistake.  Trump could have overlooked Omarosa’s sabotage if Kwame had just let her come to him.  Instead of picking her as his second team member, he should have picked Katrina or Heidi.  Since Bill had the first choice, Kwame would have been stuck with the last one standing.  Which would have been Omarosa because there was no way on God’s green earth Bill would have picked her.  If not for her antics before she was fired, at least for her accusations afterward.  Remember, the final show was live.  So Bill, like everyone else, either saw or heard Omarosa accuse white Erika of using the ‘n’ word.

So of course white Bill would have done cartwheels at the chance to choose that who looked black and we thought was black Omarosa.

I don’t think so.

And this all played out on national tv.

I’m sorry, three days later and I’m still truly hoping that Omarosa will get her’s.  Not that I wish … shoot what’s the point in lying.  That’s one of the problems with the media today and why we distrust them – ‘they don’t say what you know they’re thinking.’

I WANT OMAROSA TO GET HER’S AND I WANT IT TO HAPPEN NOW.

Oh yes, and one more thing.  When it happens, I want her to know why it’s happening and I want her to feel all the evil she has intentionally wrought and brought into this world.  Yes, intentionally.  Any doubt of that was thrown down the sewer with her when she told the press something like ‘all was fair in competition, it was a reality show, you expect the other person to do this stuff.’

Maybe in her world.  And she’s welcome to it.  Right after she gets a taste of ours.

Maybe this seems like a big hupteedoo over nothing.  It’s a television show.  Laugh it off.  Who cares??  Why should we care??

Because the loss is greater than the gain.

Kwame is a loser.

He lost the job.  Bill won.

By the way, did anyone besides me think that after Bill chose to build the Sun Times Tower in Chicago, that Trump would turn to Kwame and, ‘oh my gosh’ give him the golf course!!  Stop lying.  I know I wasn’t the only one.

Kwame also lost because he is now more jaded about trusting other black people.  Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, …

Then there’s his ‘appearing stupid’ in front of 27M people.  All the brownie points he accumulated before the final were lost during the final.  Not a smart move when your aim is the echelons of Corporate America.

Oprah is a loser.  She’s getting a lot of unfair flak for putting Omarosa on stage when Erika and Heidi sat in the audience.

Black folks are the loser.  We rooted for the brother because he was a brotha.  We rooted for the one who looked black and we though was black sister because she was a sistah.  We rose and fell with Omarosa and Kwame.  Just like on Ms. America and in politics and at work.  And fall we did.

We’re also the loser because the one who looked black and we though was black put out that she was called the ‘n’ word.  Her claim has as much credibility now as … it has no credibility.  Which makes us less credible in the future.

We are big fat loo …

Wait a minute.  We??  There is no we here.  When folks see or think Omarosa, they don’t see black, they see red.  Heck, O.J. Simpson is blacker than she is right now.  So that let’s black folks off the hook.

And Kwame.  Okay he lost the job, lost some trust, and looked stupid … for a fleeting beat.  Now he has a job offer from Mark Cuban, the owner of the NBA Dallas Mavericks.  And it pays more than the $250T Trump offered.  And has more long term possibilities.

And Oprah … Oprah … Please, she’s Oprah.  Next subject.

Maybe instead of vilification, we should give thanks, and pity??

Omarosa’s fielding offers of sitcoms, and a book deal, and a talk show, etc. etc. etc. but come on, who’s going to buy it or listen.  Nobody I know.  If she were smart she’d offer her ‘unique talent of creating unity’ back to the White House.  Sit that girl down with the Israelis and Palestinians or the warring tribes in Africa or the terrorists and the rest of the world and guarantee, she’d get them to rally around a common goal – disgust with her.  And once one goal is reached, others begin to fall, and so on and so on until …

We all come to praise and glorify her name.

… I don’t think so.

The Apprentice was a wonderful show because it was a 13 week MBA crash course.  We learned what works and doesn’t work.  Some of us saw ourselves and wished we hadn’t.  Some of us developed more confidence in ourselves as we realized we had more on the ball than previously thought.

And the best part … finally a black person made it to the end, or almost the end of a reality show.
